The plain version

Privacy

Large@Work is Iain Large's business website. Iain is responsible for the personal information you send through it. You can contact him through the enquiry form.

The information you send

The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, what's on your mind, and optionally your business or website. Please leave out sensitive personal information that I do not need to answer your enquiry.

You choose whether to use the form. I need your name, email and enough detail to understand the message if you want a reply. You can email me instead.

How I use it

I use the information to read and reply to your message, decide whether a conversation would help, and keep a record of any work that follows.

I rely on the contract lawful basis when you ask me to take a step before possible paid work, such as discussing a project. I rely on legitimate interests when I answer other business enquiries. I do not add form enquiries to a marketing list.

I do not use enquiry information for profiling or automated decisions.

Who handles it

The website uses Resend to deliver form messages to my email inbox. Resend's main processing takes place in the United States and its data processing terms include safeguards for UK transfers. My email provider also stores the message so I can reply.

You can read Resend's data processing terms.

How long I keep it

I keep an enquiry for as long as I need it to reply, manage any work that follows, and meet legal or accounting duties. I do not keep it for an unrelated marketing purpose.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask me to correct or delete it, restrict its use, receive it in a portable format where that applies, or object to how I use it. Some rights depend on the circumstances. Email me and I will deal with the request.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
